Carlsbad has a population of over 100,000 people and is ranked as the 5th richest city in the state of California and is also ranked among the nation’s top 20 wealthiest communities.
Carlsbad has one of the best climates in the country. It is typically in the mid 60’s to mid 70’s on average. The coastal part of Carlsbad rarely sees cool temperatures or frost during the winter. The winter nights can get a little cool but rarely below 40 degrees. During the spring, Carlsbad has waht is called “May Gray” and “June Gloom”. These days can be fairly overcast due to the close proximity to the ocean and the temperatures are in the average of mid 60’s to low 70’s. The overcast skies will sometimes burn off in the afternoons to make it nice and warm. In late summer and early fall, Carlsbad does experience “Santa Ana” conditions where the winds will blow to the west and pull in the hot temperatures from the desert. When this happens, the temperatures in Carlsbad will be much warmer, in the 80’s and even up to the high 90 degree mark.
Carlsbad has one of the busiest single runway airports in the country. Serving many business owners and executives to the growing Carlsbad corporations such as Via-Sat, Zynga, Legoland, Thermo Fisher, Jenny Craig, Callaway Golf, Taylor Made and Gemological Institute of America (GIA) just to name a few.
There are some brand new Carlsbad Homes for Sale that are being built in the communities known as Robertson Ranch by Toll Brothers, The Enclave at Buena Vista, Agave at the Preserve by Cornerstone Communities, just to name a few. There are a few little “infill” projects as well.

Carlsbad Unified School District has 16 schools: 9 Elementary schools, 3 Middle Schools and 4 High Schools.
